Travel and Live in Ecuador

I'm 32.
I'm married.
I have two children.
I live in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
I don't like Guayaquil and I'd rather be a fruit farmer in the country but I don't know anything about growing fruit.
And my wife won't live anywhere without a mall.
So I'm an English teacher.
Read about my adventures in Ecuador.

Ask me anything
Last week I bought some achotillos for the first time. I wasn´t sure if it was worth the hassle when I first cut one open- you get a fruit that is like a big grape with a big pip and you just kind of suck it. Now I can´t get enough of them and suddenly I´ve noticed they are on sale all along the highway to Milagro (I´m sure they weren´t there before). This fruit is from South-East Asia where it is called rambutan.
